Benard Omoro Bosire, Prof. Emmanuel Awuor
Published: May, 2022 Volume: 4 Issue: i
Keywords: Key words: Technological roles, technological advancement, artificial intelligence, Supply chain performance, supply chain, emerging technologies, accuracy, speed, operational cost and information exchange.
This study concentrated on the technological roles and performance of supply chain management in Kenya Airports Authority. The descriptive research design was used in the research study. The main data collection instrument was a structured questionnaire and phone interviews, which were used to collect data on various departments such as engineering, information and communication technology, human resources, procurement, corporate planning, and finance. To accomplish this, the research study limited itself to Kenya Airports Authority employees, with a target population of 240. The questionnaires were distributed online to senior managers, middle level managers, lower-level management, and non-management staff using a census sampling method Cronbach Alpha of 0.70 at 95% confidence level was used to assess the instrument's reliability. The collected data was coded for ease of analysis, and both inferential and descriptive statistics were generated using the SSPSS computer packages version 23. To make inference, perform a regression analysis on the dependent variable (supply chain performance) and independent variables (accuracy, speed, operational costs, and information exchange). The study found a 0.701 positive and statistically significant relationship between technological roles and supply chain performance, which is greater than the acceptable figure of 0.05. The findings show that there is a strong correlation between the two and that they rely heavily on one another. According to the findings of the study, departmental functions are inclined to improve supply chain performance through the use of technology to the greatest extent possible. The main recommendation is for organizations, particularly those in the service industry, to invest in modern technology, staff training, and infrastructure, as this will make their work easier and allow them to meet the needs of their customers while achieving organizational goals. Kariuki Edith Wambui, Prof. Washington Okeyo
Published: May, 2022 Volume: 4 Issue: i
Keywords: Market Innovation, Technological Innovation, Innovation Culture, Performance and Veterinary Companies in Kenya
The study sought to determine the innovation culture, market innovation, and technological innovation culture on the performance of the veterinary companies in Kenya using UEAL as the study case. The anchor theory was Diffusion of Innovation Theory supported by Goal-Setting Theory and Institutional Theory. A descriptive research design was adopted. 121respondents/participated and a census was used in the study. The questionnaire was used in data collection, and they were piloted. The analysis was done using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics using spreadsheets and SPSS version 26.0. The study outcome indicated that the predictor variables market and technological innovation have a significant positive impact on the performance of the veterinary companies. The results indicated that there is a significant relationship between innovation culture (market and technological innovation) and performance of the veterinary companies; p < 0.05 (P = 0.01). thus, the values of predictor variables are statistically significant with p < .05 which means an increase in the mean index of predictor variables should increase the performance of the veterinary companies. The model shows that market innovation was the predictor variable that highly affected the performance of the veterinary companies, followed by technological innovation. The study recommends that there should be more research on innovation culture and organizational performance using a case-by-case analysis of other sector players such as insurance firms, manufacturing firms, and blue-chip organizations to validate the findings of this study.

The study aims at establishing the relationship between servant leadership and growth of the evangelical churches in Kenya. Social Identity theory and MCGavran’s church theory were used to advance a theoretical foundation of the study. This study adopts cross sectional survey design. The study was undertaken among the 179 churches registered with the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya. A Stratified random sampling technique was considered to settle for a sample size of 124 churches using the Slovin’s formula. The study has used both primary and secondary data. Quantitative data from the closed ended questions was analyzed using SPSS version 24 and qualitative data from the open-ended questions were analyzed using NVivo version 12. Descriptive statistics such as percentages, frequencies, mean and standard deviation were used for the quantitative data. The outcome of the study showed that the F-Calculated (1, 102) = 212.662 which is greater than F-Critical (1, 102) = 3.934 at 5% significant level (2-tailed test) and p-Value = 0.000 < 0.05. An indication that servant leadership significantly influence growth of evangelical churches. When the independent variable (servant leadership) is held constant, growth of evangelical churches is at 0.258. At the same time, an increase in servant leadership by one unit would lead to an in growth of evangelical churches by 0.925 units with a p-Value of 0.000<0.05. Further, a positive beta coefficient explained that the relationship was positive implying that when servant leadership is embraced by leaders of evangelical churches, growth of such churches in terms of the number of local churches, number of members, number of pastors/ministers, number of supportive staff, as well as the revenue will also increase.
